We’re equipped to perform testing that complies with all of the latest industry standards for casters including ICM (Institute of Caster Manufacturers) and BIFMA (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association). In addition, all of our casters are given the Shepherd three-point quality inspection before being packaged.

Manufacturing

At Shepherd Caster Corporation, we constantly strive to set the standards in caster manufacturing and automation – we are the first and only caster manufacturer to accomplish fully automated assembly of dual ball bearing raceway wheel casters. Our in-house manufacturing includes cold heading, steel stamping, die casting, painting, and assembly to manufacture a quality product from top to bottom – meeting your need for fast delivery at a competitive price.

Engineering

We are dedicated entirely to solving customers’ mobility problems, improving product design, and using innovative manufacturing methodology. The mobility design group couples the latest CAD technologies with understanding of modern materials to develop customized mobility solutions and deliver the highest caster performance for our customers. The manufacturing group works closely with the design group to bring these innovative designs to reality.
